Documents Required for PPE Declaration

When certifying, the applicant submits to the certification body an application, as well as a set of documents in Russian and language (s) of the member (s) of the EA Customs Union (if necessary), which includes the following documents:

 

1) copies of the applicant’s registration documents, including:


2) name, technical conditions, description of the personal protective equipment, operational documents;


3) information on the personal protective equipment and identifying parameters, the declared quantity (mass production, batch or unit of production), product code in accordance with the Common Commodity Nomenclature of International Economic Activity of the countries of the EA Customs Union, as well as information about the manufacturer;


4) information on the conditions of storage, operation, maintenance, repair, transportation, and disposal of the personal protective equipment;


5) operational conditions, including application limitations;


6) information on the spare parts (components) of the personal protective equipment;


7) information on protection classes;


8) shelf life of the personal protective equipment and / or its components;


9) information on the type of packaging of the personal protective equipment;


10) a description of any marking applied to the personal protective equipment;


11) for the 6C procedure, an additional copy of the certificate of conformity of the management system issued by the management system certification body confirming the compliance of the management system, as well as the the personal protective equipment submitted for certification and applicable to the design and / or production.

 

 

Terms of certification


The certification body of the personal protective equipment examines the application submitted by the applicant and a set of documents; the decision is made within a period not exceeding 5 working days from the date of receipt of the application.

The accredited testing laboratory (center) conducts testing and measuring samples of the personal protective equipment, draws up the testing and measurement reports and submits it to the certification body of the personal protective equipment.

The duration of the test depends on the type of the personal protective equipment and may take 1-2 months in the accredited laboratory.

The validity of the certificate issued under the 3C and 4C procedures is not more than 1 year; the validity of the certificate issued under the 5C and 6C procedures is 3 years; the validity of the certificate issued under the 1C procedure is 5 years.
